Doug Finton & Associates
Doug Finton has been active for over 20 years in designing and delivering outcome- oriented adult learning experiences in corporate, service, and academic environments in North America and Europe.
He has extensive experience in creating Leadership Development curricula and training Executive Coaches, and has led the Management Training function for the German operations of Volkswagen AG, as well as being Head of Strategic Organizational Learning at Volkswagen of America.
Dougs offerings and experience include:
- Creating and delivering leadership development programs for large organizations in the U.S. and Germany (examples: Change Management; Leadership Vision & Corporate Culture; Workshop-Forum on Transformational Leadership)
- Coaching Leaders and Teams; Training leaders to coach employees for higher performance and personal development
- Delivering practical learning events around enhancing effectiveness in intercultural project teams, including Visiting Lecturer status on this topic in the University of Augsburg's MBA program
- Using Human Dynamics and Team Spirit as a cornerstone for individual leader development, teambuilding, and Learning Organization work (also on an international, intercultural basis)
- Facilitating strategic planning sessions and executive offsites, including the use of OptionFinder®, a computerized tool for instant visualization of group polling results. Whole-systems change technologies used include Open Space, Search Conferences, Appreciative Inquiry and "World Cafe".

Doug has a BA and MA from the University of Michigan, Ann Arbor. He is a founding member, and a Council Member, of the Midwest Society for Organizational Learning, and partners with an international consortium of Organization Development consultants to assure a full range of services and support for his clients. He has near native-speaker fluency in German.
